1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Utah Adult Baseball League website at utahadultbaseball.org (the "Site"), creating an account, or registering as a player, manager, or other participant, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Site.

These Terms apply to all visitors, registered users, team managers, administrators, and anyone else who accesses or uses the Site.

2. Eligibility

The UABL is an adult recreational baseball league. To register as a player, manager, or assistant coach, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Be located in or willing to travel to the greater Salt Lake City, Utah area for games
  • Provide accurate and truthful registration information
  • Comply with all UABL league rules as published on the Site

The UABL reserves the right to deny or revoke membership to any individual for violations of these Terms, league rules, or conduct detrimental to the league community.

3. Account Responsibilities

When you create an account, you are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate, current, and complete registration information
  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your password
  • All activity that occurs under your account
  • Notifying a league administrator immediately of any unauthorized account use
  • Keeping your contact information up to date

You may not share your account credentials with others or create accounts on behalf of other individuals without their consent.

4. Code of Conduct

All users of the Site and participants in the UABL are expected to conduct themselves with sportsmanship, respect, and integrity. The following behaviors are prohibited:

  • Harassment, threats, or abusive behavior toward any player, manager, umpire, or staff
  • Discriminatory language or conduct based on race, gender, religion, national origin, age, disability, or any other protected characteristic
  • Posting offensive, defamatory, or inappropriate content on the Site
  • Attempting to disrupt, manipulate, or gain unauthorized access to the Site or its data
  • Misrepresenting your identity or eligibility
  • Unsportsmanlike conduct during games (subject to league rules and umpire authority)

Violations of the code of conduct may result in suspension or permanent removal from the league at the discretion of league administrators.

5. User-Generated Content

You may upload photos and videos to the league gallery ("User Content"). By uploading content, you:

  • Grant the UABL a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and use your content within the Site and in league communications (e.g., social media, promotional materials)
  • Represent that you own or have the right to share the content, and that it does not infringe any third-party rights
  • Agree not to upload content that is illegal, obscene, defamatory, or in violation of any person's privacy

The UABL reserves the right to remove any User Content at any time without notice if it violates these Terms or is otherwise deemed inappropriate.

By uploading images or videos that include other people, you represent that you have their consent to share that content in the context of league activities.

6. Payment & Registration Fees

Participation in UABL leagues may require payment of registration fees. Fee amounts, payment methods, and deadlines are communicated by league administrators and may vary by season.

  • Fees are typically collected offline (cash or check) by league staff. Payment processing does not occur through this website.
  • Refund policies are determined on a case-by-case basis by league administration. Players who withdraw after roster finalization may not be entitled to a refund.
  • Non-payment of fees may result in suspension from league participation until resolved.

7. Intellectual Property

The Site and its original content (excluding User Content) — including the UABL name, logo, design, text, and software — are owned by or licensed to the Utah Adult Baseball League. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any Site content without explicit written permission.

League data (schedules, standings, statistics) may be shared for personal, non-commercial purposes with attribution.

8. Disclaimers

The Site and league services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. The UABL does not warrant that:

  • The Site will be available, uninterrupted, or error-free at all times
  • Information on the Site (schedules, standings, stats) will always be current or accurate
  • The Site will be free from viruses or other harmful components

Participation in baseball activities carries inherent physical risk. The UABL is not responsible for injuries sustained during games or practices. All participants are strongly encouraged to carry adequate personal health insurance.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the UABL, its administrators, volunteers, and staff shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site or participation in the league, including but not limited to loss of data, personal injury, or property damage.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Site shall not exceed the amount you paid to the UABL in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Salt Lake County, Utah.

11. Changes to These Terms
